What is Ludo?
Ludo is a platform that leverages state-of-the-art Artificial Intelligence (AI) models to help game designers and developers in creating and developing great new game concepts.
Behind the scenes, Ludo relies on Natural Language Processing (NLP) Transformer models to understand existing games, and generate new games. Ludo’s models are trained on close to 1 million games found in different sources, of all possible genres, and a wide variety of platforms. This allows Ludo models to fundamentally understand what each game is about, how different game elements can be used to build a game, and produce new game descriptions leveraging those associations.
Ludo in detail:
Using state-of-the-art Natural Language Understanding (NLU) models, and Computer Vision (CV) models, Ludo provides tools that enable the semantic search of games and game media, specifically:
Finding games via a search query describing the game theme, features, and/or mechanics.
Finding games similar to any given game (existing or generated).
Finding game images via a search query.
Finding game images semantically similar to any given image (that is, images that have similar elements or similar meaning).
Finding images related to any given game.
The game idea outputs produced by Ludo have a high degree of creativity and surprising combinations of game elements. This makes Ludo an excellent brainstorming partner when trying to come up with a new game concept. And since there is random sampling involved in the generation processes, the content generated by Ludo will always be different and is virtually unlimited, even if the users give Ludo the same inputs.
Ludo’s search, and subsequent output, operates within a number of parameters:
Generation of games based on the genres and/or platforms specified by the user.
Generation of games that revolve around keywords given by the user.
Auto-completion of game descriptions, starting from one sentence or short text given by the user.
Generation of game features and game mechanics based on any given game or short game description.
Generation of new games that are similar to any given game.
Generation of new games by mixing and blending any number of other existing games.
When the concepts are generated Ludo further complements them with rich content from existing games, allowing the
users to explore actual existing games that are relevant to their searches and Ludo’s concept generations.
